A simpler way to draw Secret Santa names

SecretSantaGenerator helps a group draw names, avoid selected pairings, and share gift wishes. Creating an event and revealing a match are free, with no email address or signup required.

Create an Event Contact Us

From a list of names to a shared event

Enter at least three distinct participant names, one per line.
Add an optional budget and exchange date. Set exclusion rules before creating the event.
Create the draw, then share the event link directly with your group.
Each participant enters their name to reveal their recipient and can save their own wish list.

Exclusions are directional: blocking one person from giving to another does not block the reverse pairing. For partners, add both directions. Our couples exclusion guide walks through an example.

No signup

Organizers and participants can use the draw without creating an account or providing an email address.

Group rules

Set who must not give to whom. A completed draw gives each person one recipient and assigns each recipient once.

Gift wishes

Participants can add preferences to help their Santa choose a gift within the group's budget.

What a shared link means for privacy

This is a trust-based group activity. The event link is not authentication, and entering a name does not prove someone's identity. Someone with the link can access event information and reveal a match using another participant's name.

Share the link only with people you trust, agree to reveal only your own match, and avoid putting addresses, contact details, or sensitive information in names or wish lists. Event details and wishes are stored so your group can return to the link. The site also uses analytics and third-party services.

How the site is supported

Gift suggestions may include affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Buying a suggested gift is optional and is never required to create an event or see a match.

You can also choose to support the site through Ko-fi. Contributions are voluntary and do not unlock extra drawing features or change your matches. Ko-fi handles contributions on its own service.
